Summary of presentation:

This keynote will present the evolution of Stay Strong Together (SST), launched in 2021 to address care gaps and social isolation among youth with developmental disabilities and their families during COVID-19. From 2021–2025, 24 camps involved 320 youth and 315 families with the support of occupational therapists and students.

SST’s sustainability was built through individualized profiling, real-time observation, systematic video documentation, and the creation of a professional Headquarters team. These strategies transformed a temporary response into a lasting model of occupational therapy practice, demonstrating how the profession sustains everyday life and promotes occupational justice through both volunteer spirit and professional responsibility
